FAQ

Q. Where are you based out of?

A. Duluth, Minnesota.

Q. Do you travel?

A. Yes, I do, and have shot weddings all over the country, including California, Florida, and even Mexico. Travel within 50 miles of Duluth, MN is included in my package prices, with travel fees varying outside of that.

Q. Do you require a Deposit?

A. Yes, to reserve your date, a signed contract and deposit are required. The non-refundable deposit is $300 for all my packages.

Q. When is the final balance due?

A. The final balance is due two weeks after the date of your wedding.

Q. What does “all day” coverage mean?

A. All Day Coverage means that I will be there until about an hour after the first dances start and get there no less than an hour before the dress goes on. That way I have plenty of time to get all of the coverage I need both before and after the ceremony. All wedding days look a little different, but usually this breaks down to somewhere between 9-12 hours.

Q. Do you have a drone?

A. Yes, and I am licensed to fly it.

I am a licensed drone pilot.

Weather, time and location permitting, I like to use my drone to capture aerial shots of you and your venue.

Q. Can we choose our own song for the final film?

A. No, unfortunately due to copyright laws and the nature of my creative process, choosing your own song for the film is not an option. I do, however, like to hear if you have any preferences of songs/styles you especially like or don’t like.

Q. Do you charge less for Smaller/backyard style weddings?

A. The amount of work that goes into your wedding film remains the same for me regardless of location or amount of people involved, so unfortunately I am unable to charge less for smaller/unique events.

Q. What is the delivery time for a full package?

A. Standard turn around time for a full highlight film is typically 12-14 weeks after the date of the wedding.

Q.  What is the “love story” video that is included in Package # 2?

A.  This is a film that is captured prior to your wedding day to then share with your guests on the day of to help tell the story of how you and your significant other met, fell in love, and so forth. It is a great way to let your guests get to know you as a couple, and an even better way to remember these details later on when you re-watch your film for years to come. Watch a few examples here!

Q.  What is Raw footage and do we need it?

A.  Due to the creative nature of putting together an emotion filled highlight film and shooting non-stop the entire day means that there will unfortunately be footage from your wedding that does not make the final cut. Purchasing the raw footage allows you to have every clip we shoot. Keep in mind that the file size and format is a lot more intense than what a cell phone can handle, so these files will need to be accessed from an actual computer. I provide all the necessary instructions for accessing the clips when delivered.
